By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went. By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise: For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God. Hebrews 11:8-10

Life is a journey with different levels of maturity, choices, direction, and destinations.

Where are you going? Are you being guided, or are you in control of your own fate? Jesus talking about the rulers of the day, the Pharisees described in Matthew 15:14 as: “…blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.” Are you on a clear path?

The journey of life has many obstacles, bumps, turns, ups and downs. Do you know where your going? Proverbs 4:26 tells us to: “Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established.” There are a multitude of decisions to be made; are you on the right path? God has promised to show us the way. In Psalm 16:11 we read: “Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.”

God has a wonderful journey in store for you. Seek His way; trust in Him, and He has promised to direct you! “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” (Proverbs 3:5 & 6)

Gospel for Asia leaders in India have joined with the heads of other churches, ministries and Christian institutions in a five-day rally in New Delhi to protest the ongoing atrocities against Christians in Orissa and other Indian states, even as GFA President K.P. Yohannan reported new persecution against the beleaguered believers.

Called a dharna, the event is an Indian method of seeking justice, traditionally by sitting at the door of one’s debtor or wrongdoer and fasting until justice is obtained. This dharna began Sunday and will last until October 2, Mahatma Ghandi’s birthday, when a peace march will end at the Raj Ghat, Ghandi’s cremation site.

Dr. Yohannan, is requesting prayer for the persecuted Christians in Orissa, India:

That our Lord would protect them against assaults by Hindus extremists, as well as, government officials in the region who fail to act in stopping the violence.

Also, pray for the nearly 15,000 Christians who have had to flee their villages and churches to refugee camps for safety, only to find harassment by officials, once they arrive.

Pray that the dharna and peace march, on Thursday, October 2, in New Delhi by Christian leaders, will get the attention of many, particularly, top government officials, as a memorandum is given to them, calling for action to prevent further persecution of Christians and other minorities.
