Be still, and know that I am God! Psalm 46:10
In the busyness of our day, how often do we stop; block everything else out; and focus all of our attention on God – our Creator – or Jesus and His provision for us at the cross – and or the Holy Spirit, living in us — our guide?
God has promised to be with us always – during our difficulties:
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me… Psalm 23:4
I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee… Hebrews 13:5
He is with us as we enter into each day as ambassadors and witnesses for Him:
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Matthew 28:19 & 20
But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. Acts 1:8
God the Father; God the Son; God the Holy Spirit is always with us.
Do you stop all that’s going on in your life for times of stillness in your day, to see, hear, meditate – “become still” – to glorify your Lord and Saviour – and “know that He is God?”
But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen. 2 Peter 3:18
