Our Thanksgiving Prayer to God

As we reflected on thanksgiving – join us as we give
thanks to God for His bountiful love and grace:

Heavenly Father, During this time of Thanksgiving
We bow our hearts to You and pray.
We give You thanks for all You’ve done
Especially for the gift of Jesus, Your Son.

That “Salvation belongs to the LORD.
Your blessing is upon Your people.” Psalm 3:8

May our hearts always declare with the “voice
of thanksgiving, And tell of all Your wondrous works.” Psalm 26:7

Pray for Those in the Philippines Who Have Been Heaviest Affected by Typhoon Haiyan

Haiyan hit the central islands of the Philippines before heading west toward Vietnam. Because communications in the Philippines were cut off by the storm, it’s still difficult to determine the full extent of casualties and damage.

“We expect the level of destruction caused by Typhoon Haiyan to be extensive and devastating, and sadly we fear that many lives will be lost,” said Anna Lindenfors, Philippines director of Save the Children.

As the Lord leads, please pray:

• For those in the Philippines who have been affected by this huge storm

• That relief efforts will quickly reach the affected areas

• That God will comfort those who have suffered great loss

A Prayer for Our Military and Veterans

Father, we could never thank our military men and women enough for their courageous service and sacrifice to our country and its people. Yet, as we lift up our voices to express gratefulness and honor to these military troops both from the past and present. Show us ways in our communities, churches, and families to thank and love them better. Keep and protect these heroes and their families, in the powerful name of Jesus.
